Research details

Areas of research interest

This blend pairs the two peptides most often discussed in soft-tissue repair research: BPC-157, studied in tendon, ligament, muscle, and gastrointestinal models, and TB-500, derived from thymosin beta-4 and studied in wound-healing and cardiac models. Interest in the pairing comes from their proposed action on different repair pathways. Neither peptide is approved by FDA for any use.

Overview

Each vial contains BPC-157, a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide, and TB-500, a synthetic version of an active region of thymosin beta-4. See the individual BPC-157 and TB-500 pages for each compound's background and research.

Research summary

Combination data. Only one published study has tested the two together. In a 2026 rat Achilles tendon repair study, BPC-157 and TB-500 each improved tissue organization compared with controls, and TB-500 also increased tendon strength at four weeks [1]. The combination did not improve outcomes beyond either peptide alone; the authors describe the results as preliminary [1].

Component research. BPC-157 improved functional and biomechanical healing in a rat Achilles transection model [2]. Thymosin beta-4 accelerated re-epithelialization and collagen deposition in a rat full-thickness wound model [3].
